Economic Development
Governments have proven to be responsible, successful and active participants in economic development initiatives. Albany County government has the potential to become such a participant in the effort to promote the growth of business in our community to reduce the people's tax burden.
I will explore new policies that will enhance our county government's ability to plan for the future and obtain new funding for economic and community development initiatives. Our county must also be willing to develop the best organization possible, an economic development corporation, to be an advocate for our county's economy.
It is our government's duty to work to provide opportunity in this community. Too many people, especially young people, are seeking opportunities elsewhere. We must promote growth at home, so people will keep this place their home.
